Mr. Animation was raised in South Central Los Angeles as one of ten brothers. His young life was positively influenced by the time he spent at Radiotron – the place to be in Los Angeles for Hip Hop Culture. This youth center was founded by Carmelo Alvarez, a place where b-boys, graffiti artists, poppers, mc’s and dj’s could develop their skills.

Mr. Animation was a member of the legendary Air Force Crew. Its members included Lil Cesar, Wilpower, Kid Tuff, Mr. Re, Chuco. In the early 80s, this crew and some others pioneered a new movement and gained international recognition for expanding the art of b-boying and popping with tours to Germany, Italy, UK, Japan, and Australia.

After travelling the world, Mr. Animation returned back home where he became an important figure on the Venice Beach boardwalk as a street performer for over 30 years. He entertained the audience with passion and loved to put a smile on their faces.

The West Coast Popping Pioneer worked with a lot musicians like Fatboy Slim, Missy Elliot, Kurtis Blow, Wu-Tang Clan, Xzibit, Run-D.M.C and had a great influence on other dancers, poppers and artists worldwide.

Mr. Animation will go down in history as one of the hardest hitters on the planet.
